Virtual Social Networks For The Dead

Keep someone alive. Keep memories alive. For study ...
All nice theory's but I'm sorry to say that I have to get used to the idea.

  1. I'd be interested to know what has you ambivalent about such things. I run a site which is similar (Otrib.com), but we emphasize funeral planning and grief support in addition to virtual memorials. We try to celebrate and to honor one's life. If you think there is something inherently wrong, I'd really like to know what, if anything, can be done to change that perception/reality.

BTW, I'm sorry about your Aunt.

  2. It's more a personal thing. I would never say that it's wrong. When my family wants to put me, after my dead, all over internet I wouldn't mind. Perhaps the possibility of a 'protected' part on a website would be a good option. The whole idea of a funeral et cetera (and yes, including websites) is for the people who are left behind. And it's very difficult to please all these people.
